Whoa! The 20,000 onions are planted in the field behind John and Marys house. Our cheerful helpers were serenaded by the frogs singing in the ponds during the 5 hour onion plant. First run 2009 maple sap cooked into syrup!

John and Mary cooked the first 37 gallons of ”first run” sap collected from the trees at Peterson Produce in Delano. The cooking took three hours and because the first run sap is especially fine Jean bottled the syrup into the really pretty 3D bottles.
