Summer vacation!
Well, Jean is thrilled that it is summer vacation because the work crew is back to getting the farm work done. Today these kids weeded the entire onion field. Very good work. Beautiful.
June is weed control at the farm
Here we see Jean and her trusty propane flame weeder torching the weeds out of the beautiful garlic field. We will scape the garlic around the June soltice and harvest by July 15. Fresh garlic is unbelievably tasty. Can’t wait to throw some on the grill!

John, Mary Al and Jean get it done. We can all be looking forward to putting the delicious tomatoes, peppers, eggplant etc. on our tables come late July. Check our harvest schedule to see when the crops wil be ripe and ready. Meanwhile, we have gorgeous flowers for sale!

Farm work May 2009
Yea, Al put the pumpkin seeds in the ground. Our crew of loal youth will do a good job weeding the acres of pumpkins as we do not use herbacides to control the weeds. You will see the kids working as you drive down highway 12 past the farm. Stop in and say hi!
