GREAT BASIL!

The basil is unbeleivably good this year. We have lettuce leaf basil which has huge yummy leaves …perfect for making pesto. We make many batches of pesto and freeze it in wide mouth 1/2 pint jars. Pesto is one of our family favorites for an easy meal in the winter!

Need basil by the bunch or grocery bag full?  Call us at 763-972-2052 or just pop out to the farm and take a sniff of this wonderful freshly picked basil.

Picking pickles at Peterson Produce

Yikes,p10009552 these kids find a way to even enjoy picking pickles. They are the best!

p1000968A lot of picking is going on at the farm these days. It is quite challenging. Each day they pick green beans, zucchini, garlic, onions, sweet corn, pickling cucumbers, slicing cucumbers. beets, dill, eggplant, basil and more. We are very proud of our young pickers and totally grateful for the good and cheerful work they do out here at the farm. It is worth a trip out here just to see what good work they do!
